PREPARING YOUR ART:
Before you submit your artwork or design to us please make sure you follow these requirements:
-All artwork, and each ‘layer’ must have a resolution of 300dpi or higher (must be made in 300dpi+ template, stretching lower resolution image to fit does NOT work).
-The artwork’s ‘print size’ must be EXACTLY the size you want to be printed on your product.
-The artwork must contain NO ‘gradient’, ‘mid’ or ‘grey tones’. Each layer or color must be all one tone.
MULTIPLE COLOR/LAYER ART:
-Each color of the whole image should be it’s own separate layer or file at 300dpi, and should be all one tone. NO ‘gradient’, ‘mid’ or ‘grey tones’.
-Each layer/color’s ‘print size’ should be EXACTLY the size you want printed on your product.
-Make sure the layers/colors ‘register’. In other words, if you were to stack the layers/colors on top of each other they should line up together as a whole to make up your desired image.
-Keep in mind if two or more layers/colors overlap when printed they WILL mix. This is totally fine if that is what you are intending to do. If you do NOT want this to happen, then make sure all parts of other layers/colors that over lap the desired color are erased or cut out, yet fit together how you want printed.
PHOTO ART:
-If your artwork contains photography make sure the photo is set up in ‘half tone’ or that you ‘posterize’ or ‘pointillize’ the photograph(s) or make it all one tone. Leave NO ‘gradient’, ‘mid’ or ‘grey tones’.
-If the photograph(s) is multi-colored/layered then make sure each color/layer that make up the entire photograph is also ‘half tone’, ‘posterized’, ‘pointillized’ or all one tone. All other ‘multiple color/layered art:’ requirements apply.
SUBMITTING YOUR ART:
E-mail artwork submissions to ART@MONOLITHICMERCHANDISE.COM
-We accept files in the following formats: .txt, .jpg, .pdf, .psd .gif, .sit, .sitx, .zip, .gzip, .eps, .ai, .tiff, and .doc.
-Make sure to send all multi-color/layer artwork in one folder. Label the folder so we can recognize it (eg. client name_order name_date.jpg), label each layer/color in the order it you want them printed and by color or tone (eg. color/tone_print order.jpg).
-If the file is too large for e-mail please send in .zip format.
